to leave the part of the tank with water in shade and only the dry basking area in the sun. In summer water in the tank heats up incredibly
fast. The tank shouldn't be left in direct sunlight. The best way to prevent algea growing in your tank is to never have it exposed to
direct sunlight. Cleaning algea from the surface of a glass tank is easy - just use a sturdy brush. Tanks made fro acrylic might get scratched
so this should be done gently. I just use a towel for that purpose.
