The alligator snapping turtle hatchlings don't grow as fast as the comon snappers and will stay considerably smaller.
The rate with which the common snappers will grow depends on the individual turtle. From my experience, some will grow much faster than other, even
if kept in the same environment and offered food at the same frequency. Some will eat more, some less. They also have their personal preferences and
some will go more for red meat, some will endulge in fish.
Either way, on average your common snapper should grow to about between 9 to 12 inches ( the carapace lenght) and 1 - 1.5 pounds.
