species, lay eggs on land, and the first thing the new born turtle do after leaving the egg is run to the ocean for cover from preditors like
birds or variety of four-legged carnivores.
In North America, snapping turtles mate from April to November and nest from late April to October. The eggs take usually 80 - 90 days to hatch. The eggs
are spherical and about inch in diameter.
