Yes. Snapping turtles are fantastic swimmers. They have very powerful webbed legs and lots of energy. They can be spotted
at times just lazily floating on the surface of a lake, but just few moves of their legs and they are gone.
On the other hand, the alligator snappers basically don't swim. They usually stay motioneless submerged or walk at the botto searching for food.
